About us
The ENERGISE Centre brings together the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and four South African partner universities to develop integrated solutions that combine engineering, energy policy and sustainable entrepreneurship.
Each institution contributes unique strengths creating a collaborative whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. What sets ENERGISE apart is its decentralized and participatory governance model, which ensures joint ownership, equal representation, and shared decision-making. This is a true partnership of equals, where collaboration is driven by mutual respect, common purpose, and a shared commitment to the Just Energy Transition (JET).
